Tri-Community Master Plan
Tri-Community Master Plan
The Tri-Community Master Plan is a comprehensive, long-range planning guide developed jointly by Saugatuck Township, the City of Saugatuck, and the City of the Village of Douglas. This regional plan outlines shared goals for land use, community development, and environmental stewardship, ensuring that growth across the Tri-Communities preserves the area’s unique small-town and rural character while supporting sustainable development.
Created through decades of public input, the Master Plan reflects the priorities of residents, property owners, and local stakeholders. It serves as a key resource for zoning decisions, infrastructure planning, and community investment. To ensure it remains accurate and effective, the three municipalities conduct a formal review of the plan every five years, updating it to align with evolving community needs and long-term regional goals.
