Saugatuck Township, City of Saugatuck and the City of Douglas hold an annual event to provide residents a convenient and affordable way to properly dispose of materials that are not accepted at landfills or cannot be recycled. Please look out for information on the upcoming Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event.

Residents must make an appointment to drop-off items

Examples of items that can be dropped or for free include:

• Automotive Fluids
• Agricultural and Landscaping Chemicals
• Cleaners and Solvents
• Building and Remodeling Materials
• Most Electronic Items
• Household Batteries

Example of items that will be accepted for a fee include:

• Computer Monitors
• Dehumidifiers Containing Freon
• Televisions
• Car Batteries
• Small A/C Units Containing Freon

Examples of Items that will not be accepted, include:

• Major Appliances
• Tires
• Acrylic Paint
• Latex Paint
• Microwave Ovens
• Debris
• Trash
