Sundown Park

Sundown Park is Saugatuck Township’s only public lake front access, located at the end of 126th Avenue. At just under 10,000 square feet, Sundown serves as a neighborhood park for the Lakeshore Drive area and for residents to enjoy endless views of Lake Michigan from atop the high bluff location.

Mostly unimproved, in 2024 the Township’s Parks and Recreation Commission developed a Master Plan for the site that provides improved access and expands amenities with a landscape design that highlights the native flora of the lakeshore bluff ecosystem.

Construction documents are currently being prepared and the Parks and Recreation Commission will determine a construction schedule for 2025-2026.
